Many of us suffer touch deprivation. Our society has sexualized touch to such extent that it could feel awkward to most of us to offer touch to someone beside a sexual partner. In our patriarchal society, we are formatted to fight and compete, to hide our vulnerability, sensibility and sense of compassion and this is exhausting!
Cuddling Therapy is a platonic touch practice. Each session is structured so we create a very safe container to fully enjoy nurturing and healing touch. Through sessions, we work on sincere communication, boundaries and consent, mindfulness through embodiment, showing up as we are with all our emotions, feelings and sensations while sharing touch.
While cuddling our brain produces the very soothing oxytocin hormones. The hormone of compassion and bounding. This is how gentle touch is essential to our sense of connection, self-image and wellbeing. Cuddling enhances the way we feel about ourselves and in turn, improves the way we show up and relate to others in our life.
